Hamas and Fatah reach deal on power-sharing
The new Palestinian government: Khaled Mashaal, leader of Hamas, and Mahmoud Abbas, Palestinian President of the mainstream Fatah movement, form the new coalition government in Palestina.
Hamas promise to ''respect'' previous peace deals with Israel.
According to Israeli spokeswoman Miri Eisin, the new Palestinian government has to accept all three international conditions: recognition of Israel, acceptance of all former agreements, and a renunciation of all terror and violence.
What the leaders said about the deal on power-sharing:
Mashaal said the accord "will unify our ranks. There is a commitment and unity. We will preserve this partnership."
Abbas said the deal would "satisfy our people ... and bring us to the shores of peace. ... This initiative has been crowned with success."

As I admire Khaled Mashaal a lot I am glad that Hamas will take part in the political decisions in Palestina in future inshaa' Allah. This man is an example for all the rest of the presidents, leaders, etc. of the Arab world.
Congratulations, Hamas!
(PS to Gassia: Guess what? Khaled Mashaal.. I would regard myself as the luckiest person on earth if I married someone with such a personality, common sense and faith!)
